NSW Progress Dashboard

The End Street Sleeping Collaboration’s progress dashboard allows communities to track our collective progress towards making street sleeping rare, brief and non-recurring in NSW.

Our progress dashboard (below) has two parts; a monthly inflow/ outflow tracker & active homelessness by month.   The monthly flow tracker provides visibility in how people are moving through the homelessness system, while the monthly tracker shows trends in active homelessness over time.

If you would like to know more about this report, please get in contact with us here.

It is important to interpret this dashboard using the information below:

  • The data provided in this report comes exclusively from the NSW By-Name List.

  • These progress reports focus on people experiencing rough sleeping or living in crisis accommodation (e.g. temporary shelter, residing in boarding houses or couch surfing). These categories are subsets, and are not reflective of all forms of homelessness.

  • A person is moved to inactive if they are not currently engaged with services or there has been no recorded engagement with an individual for 90 days or more on the By-Name List

  • The dashboard is updated at 12:00am on the first day of each month.

The End Street Sleeping Collaboration and its collaborating agencies are continuing to ‘roll-out’ the By-Name List across NSW. As a result, data published in this dashboard does not yet represent the full scale of people experiencing rough sleeping or living in crisis accommodation.

The By-Name List is a ‘live’ database, with system users updating information on a daily basis as new information becomes available. As the system is able to be updated retrospectively, monthly figures may change without notice.
